Milwaukee ER & Hospital came to us for a desk item that would not get thrown away, and landed on a bamboo top wireless charging speaker. It is a small round unit wrapped in heather gray knit fabric with a bamboo disc set into the top. Set a phone on the bamboo and it charges. Press the button on the side and it works as a Bluetooth speaker. Their logo, the cross mark and the two line wordmark, is laser engraved directly into the bamboo. Engraving on wood is one of our favorite decoration methods for promotional products because it burns the mark into the grain instead of sitting on top of it. There is no ink to chip and no film to peel. Every piece looks slightly different because the grain runs differently, which we consider a feature. Custom branded tech is a crowded category, and most of it ends up in a drawer. A charger that also plays music tends to stay on the desk, which is exactly where a healthcare brand wants to be.
